Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.
Canteen
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Sarah Redfern provides a healthy, nutritious canteen service for students.
We have a healthy school canteen available to all students from Passfield Park, Preschool, Kindergarten to Year Six.
Your child is welcome to purchase or order goods from the canteen at the following times
- Before 9:30am – recess and lunch orders will be taken at this time only
- Lunch 11:10am – canteen opens
- Recess 1:30pm – canteen open to purchase little snacks.
Lunch bags are available outside the canteen for you to write out your child's order before 9:30 am and then hand to the canteen staff for payment.
The school canteen is run by Healthy Bites, who are very dedicated to the children's welfare.
Kindergarten children are able to purchase any items available in the canteen from Term 2, including iceblocks, fruit bars, drinks, etc. We are currently working towards a completely healthy canteen as part of the Department of Education guidelines.
Breakfast club
A breakfast club, supported by the Daystar Foundation, is organised each morning at our school. Children are supplied with a nutritious meal to begin their school day. Parents and staff are welcome.
Uniforms
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.

School uniforms are available for purchase. You can purchase both primary school uniform and our preschool t-shirts from these two locations:

Black hats can be purchased from the school office at $15 each.
There are other items available for purchase. These are:
- Red lightweight jacket
- Red fleece sweat shirt
- Black sport jacket.
Hiring our facilities
You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring of the facility doesn't interfere with our teaching and learning programs.
